Matthew J. Novak, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Matthew Novak joined the Advanced Surgical Group in June of the year 2000, coming from Cincinnati, OH, where he had practiced for ten years.  Dr. Novak has a very extensive experience with minimally-invasive surgery, with a particularly large experience in laparoscopic hernia repair.  He also has performs unusual advanced laparoscopic procedures such as laparoscopic adrenalectomy.  He served for a time as an instructor for Ethicon's teaching institute in Cincinnati, teaching surgeons from around the country techniques in minimally-invasive surgery.  He was also named a "Top Doctor" in a Cincinnati magazine survey in 1998, and was co-author of the famous Mont Reid Surgical Handbook.
