Dr. Michael O'Reilly has practiced in Marietta Georgia since 1991 when he joined Dr. Spencer Mullins.  Together for the next seven years they performed cutting edge laparoscopic surgery.  They were some of the first surgeons in the country to perform laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery, laparoscopic colon surgery, laparoscopic splenectomy, laparoscopic hernia surgery, and laparoscopic distal esophageal myotomies for achalasia.  

Together they published their experience in numerous articles.  They helped set the standard for excellent patient care.

 Dr. O'Reilly has an intense interest in laparoscopic surgery for severe GERD.  He has designed a special mesh used in the repair of hiatal hernias.  He also has developed instrumentation designed specifically for the use in anti-reflux surgery.
